22 Things To Do Before 22: 6 Months In

At the start of this year, I wrote a blog post titled ‘22 Things To Do Before 22‘ detailing a list of 22 activities I wanted to do before I turned 22 next January. Since the 10th of this month marked my half-birthday, I wanted to write an update post to both motivate myself to finish the list and share my experiences completing the list.

Get A Second Helix Piercing & Dip-Dye My Hair PurpleĀ

These were the first two items I crossed off my list, completing them in March of this year. Since then, I have dip-dyed my hair both pink and blue, although the blue later faded to green and I have since had to dye my hair reddish-brown in order to wash-out the green. In terms of piercings, I have not gotten any more piercings since then, but one day, I hope to have piercings lining the outside of my left ear.

Meet My Internet Best Friend, Visit Amsterdam & Visit CopenhagenĀ

I am so excited to finally be visiting Amsterdam and my internet best friend in August! We will have known each other for four years in October so this meeting has been long-awaited. I have been talking about visiting Amsterdam and Copenhagen for a few years now and so I am excited to finally visit the places for myself.

Visit Kew Gardens & Prime MeridianĀ

Both of these items were on my Summer Bucket-List too, meaning that I was determined to finally cross these off my list. I have wanted to go back to the Observatory and Planetarium for a while now, having previously been once before on a school trip, and it was just as good as I remembered. My favourite part was definitely the Planetarium. I had never been to Kew Gardens before but I had seen many bloggers talk about its beauty and it certainly did not disappoint. You can read about my blog post about both places here.

Walk Over The O2 ArenaĀ

For those of you unaware, you are able to walk over the famous entertainment venue, the O2 Arena. The whole experience takes 90 minutes with allocated rest time at the highest point to admire the scenery and document the experience with photographs. This is an activity that I have wanted to do for a few years now but I was finally able to cross it off my list a few weeks ago for my brother’s 18th birthday day out.

Have A Picnic in Hyde ParkĀ

I love picnics and I love parks and yet I have never had a picnic in one of the most famous parks in London?!? Well, now I can say I have! My boyfriend and I both had a Monday off of work so we decided to head to the park with a picnic to enjoy the sunny weather whilst it lasts.

Go To A Demi Lovato Concert

I have been a fan of Demi Lovato ever since Camp Rock first premiered on Disney Channel 10 years ago but this year was the first time that I was finally able to see her live in concert. It was everything I could have wanted and more -she absolutely killed the performance. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a tribute to Camp Rock.

Go Indoor SkydivingĀ

For Christmas last year, my brother, my Dad and I were bought an indoor skydiving voucher by my grandparents and this month, we finally managed to book a session. It was definitely a lot harder than I anticipated, having to remember to keep my chin up, arms outstretched and legs straight but overall I did enjoy the experience, although I probably would not go again.

Take Graduation Photos & GraduateĀ

By the time this post is live, I will have had my graduation ceremony and taken graduation photos so keep your eyes peeled for that blog post coming soon!

I would say that so far, this has been a very successful year with regards to completing items on my list as I only have 8 of 22 activities left to do. If anyone wants to take a trip to Ireland with me, teach me how to play guitar, take a kickboxing class or teach me about manual photography, let me know!

How are you doing with your 2018 goals?Ā

    1. Neither did I until earlier this year! It is perfect for everyone, even if you don’t like heights, as you are secured in at all times. I am so excited for the trip. xx

    1. Haha I actually did not realize how much I had done until I wrote this post! I am so scared it is going to be awkward but I will definitely be doing a blog post on the trip. xx

  1. Wow you’re doing a great job with your goals! I met my internet best friend after talking online for almost a year and since then we’ve visited each other’s home countries several times and been travelling together. It’s amazing to make those kinds of connections! xx

        1. My advice would be to be careful what purple dye you use as if it is a cool (blue) base then it can stain your hair as blue did to mine, especially if you have bleached it recently. I ended up dyeig my hair red to wash out the blue twice. Do you know what ear piercing you would like yet?

          1. Thanks for the advice! Iā€™ll definitely keep that in mind! Iā€™d start out with the basic lobe piercing because mine closed up when I was little. But ultimately Iā€™d like to have doubles in both ears.

    1. I have actually been to Kew Gardens now and it is gorgeous! I don’t know whether the tower is open yet now but it wasn’t when I went which was a little disappointing but just means I need to return. Picnics are my favourite way to eat because you get sunshine, good company and it’s fairly cheap. x
