The Best Friend Tag

Out of all the collaborations that I have planned for this month, I think today’s is probably one of the posts that I am most excited for and the one that I have been waiting the longest to post. Most of you will know my real life and blogger best friend Grace and today’s collaboration post is with her, doing the long-awaited Best Friend Tag. If you have not already, check out Grace’s post here or keep reading for my answers.

How and When Did You First Meet?

I cannot recall the exact date and time that we met however much I would love to so that we could have a cute story to share about how it was friendship at first sight. We both went to the same secondary school and had a few classes together but it was only when we both studied A Level History and Biology that we really became friends. When we both moved into London for University, it was only then that we became even closer.

What Was Your First Impression of Each Other?

As stated in my answer to the previous question, I cannot remember the exact first time I met Grace but thinking back, I can remember thinking that she was nice and had a bubbly personality. I was also jealous of how thick her hair is (still am to be honest!).

What is One Personality Trait the Other Person Has That You Would Like?

I would love Grace’s kindness – I can see that she has a really big heart and she is always thinking about other people.

What Are Three Things That Your Best Friend Does Not Know About You?

Grace and I talk every day so there is not a lot that she does not know about me but since we only became friends a few years ago, I am positive that there are some things about my childhood self that she does not know. For example, I had my first boyfriend in primary school and he actually gave me an engagement ring for Valentine’s Day which I still have in a box in my room. Or that I sprained my ankle three times in Year Two. Or that I once got stuck in a tree in the garden once and my Dad had to climb a ladder to get me out.

What Is Your Favorite Thing About Each Other?

I love that Grace is just as spontaneous as I am – I know that I can text her the day before or the morning of and she will be down for whatever adventure I have planned, whether that is exploring some place new or visiting an Instagram-worth café.

What Is One Thing That Annoys You About The Other Person?

One thing that annoys me about Grace is her self-deprecating humor. I honestly believe that Grace is beautiful, intelligent and funny and I wish that she could see herself the way I see her.

Do You Have Any Inside Jokes?

Plenty! Although as is often the case when put on the spot, I cannot recall a single joke.

What Is Something Weird That You Both Like?

The only thing that comes to mind is salted popcorn and chocolate M&Ms as inspired by The First Daughter but I am sure that we are not alone in loving this snack.

What Is Your Favorite Memory Together?

We have had some many adventures together these past few years that I will honestly cherish for the rest of my life that it is hard to pick just one. Some highlights include our trips to Brighton, Paris and Barcelona. One memory that comes to mind though, would be Taylor Swift’s 1989 Concert in Hyde Park in 2015 where we stood for about 8 hours in direct sunlight with minimal food and water just so we could be front row behind the barriers.

Name One Trait a Potential Partner Would Have To Have To Date the Other Person

Loyalty. Grace is the sort of person who will put all her energy into a relationship as well as into her friendships and I would expect the person she dates to do the same thing.

  1. THIS IS SO PURE I LOVE BEST FRIENDSHIPS. I loved this so much, especially all of the kind things you had to say about your best friend because I am the same way with mine. I wish I was as amazing as them. I met some of my best friends at T-Ball, and we’ve been best friends for literally over 16 years. My college best friendships were all chance meetings of me going up to them and being like “Hi I love your shirt, what’s your name

    • Thank you! Haha that’s so cute – my longest friendship at the moment is 10 years but here’s hoping it continues for another 10 years. I have no idea what T-Ball is I’m afraid (English vs American problems) but it sounds fun? xx

      • T-ball is toddler baseball! I’m pretty sure it’s a solely American thing but it’s basically toddlers running around learning how to play baseball poorly. I wish you the best of luck with all your friendships!

    • Thank you! I am honestly so surprised we have managed to stay friends through University but she is basically a sister to me now. I have another friend who I have known for 10 years from secondary school – it’s crazy! xx

    • Thank you! I am so grateful to have friends from both Secondary School and University too as well as from work. I think it’s nice to have a mixture of friends. You definitely should – you should also do the best friend vs best friend/sibling/boyfriend tag too (just make sure none of them are sore losers!) xx
